Homeplaces is a locally owned company that has been building homes in the Richmond area since 1994. Tom Kellam, founder and owner, started Homeplaces, ltd. after years of working with his father-in law, another local builder/developer. Tom is a hands on manager and works with sub-contractors and homeowners to ensure the highest level of service and quality in your homes. Tom’s wife, Sarah Kellam, grew up in the building business.  Sarah is also a native Richmonder, and a graduate of Collegiate Schools,  University of Virginia, and has a MBA from the University of Richmond.  Sarah works with sales and marketing and the homeowners’ selection process.

Tom and Sarah have overseen and managed a building company for the last 20 years and have built over 200 homes in communities such as Tarrington, Founders Bridge, Oak Park, Hallsley, Foxhall, River Lake Colony, Countryside Glen, Salisbury, Shady Ridge, Kings Charter, Charter Lake, Morning Creek, Berkley, Stanwood and Milhaven.

In addition, Sarah is a licensed realtor in the Commonwealth of Virginia and is an Associate Real Estate Broker with Metropolitan Real Estate, Inc. Recently, Sarah had the honor of serving as the first woman President of the Home Building Association of Richmond in 2012.
